When Tom is accepted at Princeton, he meets Paul who was inspired by Tom's dad to keep researching it. After some major breakthroughs, Paul gets very close to decoding the secret messages. But he ends up being linked in a strange murder on campus and is in danger. Tom meets Katie, a girl who he basically falls in love with, and has to choose his priorities.
